The Ultimate Tweeting Device

From the makers of Peek Pronto, they bring you the new Twitter Peek. Everything you love about Twitter packed into a slim, lightweight mobile gadget — tweet anywhere, anytime.

Why buy the Twitter Peek? Well, it tweets….and well, that’s about it! I guess the biggest benefit of the Peek is the service plan. When you want to tweet on the go, it can get expensive to browse the web on phones. With the Twitter Peek, you can get six months of unlimited tweets for $99 or unlimited tweets for $199. Neither require a contract, because all the money is paid upfront.

For those of you that are addicted to Twitter, this is the perfect on-the-go device. You can get service anywhere in the US (I’m not sure about the other countries.) The peek gives a notification when a new tweet comes in as well. It is always ‘online’ so you never miss a tweet and don’t have to wait for them to download.

With this device, you can view your tweets, send tweets, retweet, direct message, follow, and @mention. If you buy the $99 Peek, you get 6 months of service included in the price, then you can pay $7.95 per month with no contract. If I were you considering this, I would buy the $199 with no monthly fees, because it will ad up over time.

Also, you don’t need WiFi to send tweets. (If you did, why not just get the iPod Touch). The Peek works on cell phone towers. One feature that is missing is the ability to preview links in it’s own built-in web browser. That would be a very nice feature to have.

I assume if you are viewing a bunch of TwitPics, your battery won’t last as long. The battery should last an average of 3-4 days (according to the website). The company includes a power adapter to charge as well.

If you have more than one twitter account, tough luck! The Peek only allows you to set up one Twitter account. If you are interested in a device similar to this that emails or text messages, you can buy the Peek Pronto for $15 dollars a month.

If you already have the original Peek or Peek Pronto, you don’t need to buy the Twitter Peek. You can use the free service, Ping.fm or use a Peek App called PeekFeed – it’s also free.
